Dali Sub P-10 DSS

Exceptional bass performance for music and home cinema.

The DALI SUB P-10 DSS is a high-performance subwoofer engineered to deliver deep, powerful and exceptionally controlled bass. Combining a 10-inch down-firing active driver with two side-mounted 10-inch passive radiators, it produces impressive low-frequency output while maintaining the speed, precision and detail needed for high-quality music reproduction.

At its heart is a rigid, lightweight carbon-fibre and paper-pulp cone designed for accurate, piston-like movement. The active driver works alongside two matching passive radiators to deliver a balanced and powerful bass response, extending down to an impressive 24Hz.

A powerful 300W RMS Class D amplifier, with up to 500W peak output, provides the headroom needed for demanding music and movie soundtracks. Whether you’re listening to subtle low-frequency detail in a recording or experiencing the impact of a cinematic soundtrack, the SUB P-10 DSS delivers bass with authority and control.

The SUB P-10 DSS also features dedicated Hi-Fi and Cinema modes. Hi-Fi mode provides a more neutral and precise presentation for music, while Cinema mode enhances the deepest frequencies for a more immersive home cinema experience.

With both RCA line-level and LFE inputs, the SUB P-10 DSS can be easily integrated into a wide range of stereo and home cinema systems. Its solid cabinet, aluminium base and down-firing design provide both a stable platform and effective acoustic coupling with the room.

The result is a sophisticated subwoofer that combines serious power with the refinement expected from DALI’s high-performance range.

PERFECT PLACEMENT

Maximising bass output and distribution
Placing a subwoofer is a large part of creating the perfect audio reproduction. To maximise the bass output and distribution around the room, we recommend placing the SUB P-10 DSS in a corner or, if that’s not possible, along a wall. The design, technology and construction make it a great match for mid and high-end stereo and home theatre systems featuring speakers from our EPICON or RUBICON series.

ACTIVE WOOFER

Superior breakup characteristics
The SUB P-10 DSS is equipped with an active 10″ down-firing woofer. The cone is a sandwich construction with carbon fibre at the front paired with paper pulp at the back. The geometry and the material applied to it eliminate the need for a dust cap. The result is a rigid yet lightweight and agile cone with superior breakup characteristics that delivers precise bass reproduction and fully renders the dynamics of the signal.

PASSIVE WOOFERS

Same tonal balance as the active driver
The two side-mounted passive woofers share much of the same technology as the active driver. The cone geometry and carbon fibre material are identical to the down-firing woofer, while the ‘upper’ part of the chassis, with 10 legs and suspension, is also the same. Unlike the active driver, the passive units only include one spider and of course no voice-coil or magnet system. The purpose of each passive radiator is to emulate the movements of the active woofer and to achieve the same tonal balance – something which we’ve spent hundreds of hours perfecting.

CLASS D AMPLIFIER

Headroom to draw out that little extra
The powerful, integrated 300 Watt RMS Class D amplifier is highly linear and renders audio with absolute integrity. Designed for maximum continuous power, the SUB P-10 DSS also delivers 500 Peak Watts, which is highly relevant for both music and movie audio. With a choice of LFE and LINE inputs, the SUB P-10 DSS can be connected to almost any amplifier, receiver or processor.

HI-FI & CINEMA MODE

Tailoring the sound
Using the SUB P-10 DSS remote control, you can fine-tune the sound to suit what you’re watching or listening to. For realistic and powerful rendering of explosions and other high-action audio effects in a movie, CINEMA mode amplifies the lowest frequencies to recreate the most realistic experience. For a more neutral and linear performance, Hi-Fi mode delivers precise rendering of the musical details, while optimising the integration with your front speakers.

CABINET DESIGN

Robust down-firing woofer
The SUB P-10 DSS features a solid down-firing woofer that’s able to move plenty of air. To ensure a stable, resonance-free platform for the 10″ woofer, the base of the cabinet is made from 25 mm wood laminate, onto which the woofer is firmly mounted. To eliminate potential turbulence underneath the subwoofer, the sleek aluminium base and spacers raise the cabinet by 45 mm, effectively decoupling it from the floor. This also increases the overall efficiency and creates a seamless acoustic coupling to the room.
